Each person has different goals when studying Japanese. Some people aim to pass qualification exams like the JLPT to get a job or advance their careers, while others want to deepen their enjoyment of Japanese culture.
In either goal, mastering the basic Japanese structure and vocabulary at the JLPT N5 level is the most important thing.
JPLT Online School offers a 3-month lesson program for beginners to learn the knowledge necessary to pass the JLPT N5 and improve their proficiency with AOTD and other programs.
For those who are aiming to pass the JLPT exam in December, the next 3 months are a time to improve your proficiency. We are also planning last-minute mock exam preparation lessons.
However, let’s aim for the future. You might be able to pass the JLPT N5 with a 40% score, but this won’t be enough to move on to JLPT N4. There is a difference between seeing and hearing knowledge and mastering it (demonstrating your ability in the exam). If it’s difficult to master everything within the timeframe, don’t rush to move forward in such an incomplete state.
With an N5 level, you can generally understand simple Japanese conversations. Even if your use of particles and other elements is not yet stable, you’ll still be able to engage in basic conversations.
This is a level that EVERYONE CAN ACHIEVE. With intense focus, it may be possible to reach this stage in as little as three months. Typically, it takes six months to a year of consistent study to get there. Please keep studying Japanese regularly, even if it’s just once or twice a week.
Once you have established a solid foundation of the basics of the Japanese language at the N5 level, improvement becomes much easier because you have something strong to build on. If the foundation is weak, it will be difficult to progress. Remember, it takes time and consistent effort to solidify and establish your knowledge.
Unlike children, who absorb Japanese, Tagalog, and English over hundreds or thousands of hours during their early years, you must be intentional with your study. But just like them, you’ll start with the most frequently used expressions and vocabulary.
Our school provides unlimited lessons and free study sessions. Take advantage of as many lessons as you can within your time. Even if the content is the same, attending classes with different teachers will deepen your understanding and have an improved retention.
Beginner courses taught by Japanese teachers who are experts in the Japanese language will start in September. This is a great opportunity for you. Never give up. If you feel stuck, start again. Even if you’re making progress, it’s always good to review the basics from the beginning again. Those who have many opportunities to repeatedly study the basics can reach higher goals.
