(Go and… / Take)
Peripheral / Movement & Change
👀 Layer A: Visual Guide
📝 Quick Summary (まとめ)
Use “Te-ikimasu” when you perform an action and then go, or when you carry out an action while moving away. It connects the action (Te-form) with movement (Ikimasu).
Structure: [Te-form] +
Example: 持って いきます (Take / Hold and go)。
🔍 Layer B: Deepening (深掘り)
💡 Raya’s Hack (攻略法)
(Go away) = **Take**
(Come here) = **Bring**
If the movement is AWAY from you, it’s “Motte Iku” (Take). If the movement is TOWARDS you, it’s “Motte Kuru” (Bring). Always check the direction relative to your current location.
🚧 Joy’s Mistake (よくある間違い)
Scene: Joy wants to take his dog for a walk.
Joy: 「
(Inu o motte ikimasu!)
❌ Only for objects!
Why?
* Motte iku = Take (something)
* Tsurete iku = Take (someone/pet)
“Motte ikimasu” is for inanimate objects. For people or animals, use “Tsurete ikimasu” (To take along/lead). Correct: “Inu o tsurete ikimasu”.
