(Because / Reason)
Supporting / Reasoning
👀 Layer A: Visual Guide
📝 Quick Summary (まとめ)
Use “Kara” to state the reason (“Because…”). It usually comes at the end of the reason clause. When answering “Why?”, end with “Kara desu”.
Connector: [Reason] から、[Result]。
Answer: [Reason] からです。
🔍 Layer B: Deepening (深掘り)
💡 Raya’s Hack (攻略法)
英語では “I study because I have a test” (結果→理由) ですが、日本語は逆です。
“Test ga aru kara, benkyou shimasu.”
Japanese syntax is “Reason First”. Always put the reason clause with “Kara” BEFORE the result clause. “Reason KARA, Result.”
🚧 Joy’s Mistake (よくある間違い)
Scene: Joy explains why he is late.
Joy: 「
(Nebou shimashita. Dakara okuremashita.)
⚠️ A bit childish/blunt.
Why?
Starting a sentence with “Dakara” (Therefore/So) can sound blunt or argumentative. It’s smoother to connect the sentences with “Kara”. “Nebou shimashita KARA, okuremashita.”
