Here at JPLT Metaverse, all group classes and personalized one-on-one sessions take place in one virtual roof, you can also interact with students and teachers alike in the lounge or café after the lesson.
 
There is also no need to attend a physical school. The JPLT Metaverse serves as a space where you can learn and discuss Japanese on a daily basis. It is designed so that all Japanese language learners can enjoy learning.

How to join

Step 1: 
Enter the JPLT Metaverse Campus by clicking this OFFICIAL LINK. We recommend saving the link and bookmarking it in your browser for easy access.

Step 2:
In the link, you will see the following images on the right side. This current page does not have any available translation, but you may simply select the blue button to continue.

Step 3:
You will be redirected to a sign-in/sign-up page. To enter the metaverse campus space, you have the option to use your Google account for registration, or alternatively, register with a different active email address of your choice.

Step 4: 
Continue by clicking the blue button to be redirected to the next page. Choose “Allow” to grant your browser access to your microphone and camera; not clicking does not automatically grant access.

Step 5:
You may now translate the page by clicking the dropdown on the upper right corner of the screen. Once done, change your name and design your cute avatar. Once satisfied, You are all set and ready to enter the space!

How to navigate Metaverse Campus

For first-time users here are the things that you can do when you enter our space. First, let’s master the basic usage:

  1. PC Move Operations: You can move by pressing the arrow keys or W-A-S-D keys in the direction you want to move.
  2. You can teleport by double-clicking on the location you want to go to, or you can get into a car by pressing the C key.
  3. Settings: You may set preferred graphics and language here you may also view details of Metalife version here.

Legend:

A. Avatar: You may edit your name and desired avatar in this feature.

B. Active Users: You may view who are the active and inactive users here. As you click this feature you can also locate other users in the map.

C. Chat and Channels: Direct messages and  announcements are found here.

D. Floors: This shows the list of floors that exist in our campus.

E. Calendar: You may be able to sync your calendar here.

F. Attendance: You can clock in and clock out on every visit you make. Though this function is not very necessary as of the moment in our campus for this matter only once you are enrolled in our courses.

G. Minutes: This is an AI function that can generate meeting notes. To completely understand this see Private area and Meeting rooms guide.

4. When Avatars get close to each other, the video and microphone are connected. The connection will be automatically disconnected when you leave.

5. Private area: When you enter the private area, the entire area will be highlighted in red. You can only communicate with people within the area once you are in it.

What devices I can use to enter Metaverse Campus?

MetaLife can be used from any device : PC, tablet, or smartphone.

We highly recommend using Google Chrome on your PC (MacOS/WindowsOS). In other environments like the tablet, or smartphone, some functions may be restricted and may not be able to be used comfortably.

Can I enter Metaverse Campus without enrolling?

Yes! JPLT Metaverse Campus is FREE for EVERYONE. You can meet people from all over the world who are interested in learning the Japanese language and culture. 

Regardless of being enrolled or not, the lounge is free for all, where Japanese language learners from all over the world gather and are waiting to connect with you 24/7.

Is it required that I open my camera when I'm in campus?

No, it is not required to open your camera in the Metaverse campus. Join the conversation using your avatar; there is no need to reveal your face so do not hesitate to practice speaking Japanese, errors and all!

 

What can I do within the Metaverse Campus?
Other than the lessons itself, JPLT Metaverse Campus offers tons of activities that you can join!

Do all people entering the campus fluent in Japanese?

All levels of Japanese language learners are welcome in the Metaverse Campus! 

From zero beginners to native speaker, everyone can communicate and learn from one another. You don't have to feel scared if you don't know how to speak in Japanese, everyone in the campus will help you level up your Japanese skills!

I am having troubles in the campus, where can I ask for support?

There will be a JPLT Staff roaming around within the campus from 9:00 AM PHT until 9:00 PM PHT to provide assistance when needed. If you are new, they will offer to tour you around the campus.
