Hello there! How’s everyone? I’m Teacher Roj. I’m half Japanese, half Filipino. I lived in Japan for almost 13 years working with various Japanese companies. For 5 years, I taught English in Japanese Elementary and Junior High schools as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher).

2 years ago I came back to the Philippines to start a Bilingual career. Currently, I hold a JLPT N3 certificate. I’m a Nursing graduate at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. I remember when I was a Nursing Student, educating patients about health was always interesting for me. And that’s when I knew I had passion in teaching. I’m really into music so I try to incorporate it in my lessons. I also have a soft spot for animals. I have two cats and a dog. They’re adorable! Haikyuu is my cup of tea when it comes to animes.

My motto in teaching would always be “Learning While Having Fun”. As someone who experienced living in a foreign country, I can empathize with how much effort someone has to give to learn a foreign language. That’s why I don’t want to make it more difficult for my students and I try to make the lessons as interesting as possible. Excited to meet everyone!
