About Me

Hello! I’m Rhea Ann Parcasio. My students call me Rhea Sensei. I have been teaching Japanese for ten years now, and it has been an amazing journey seeing my students grow in confidence as they learn the language. Teaching Nihongo is not just a job for me, it’s my passion. I feel truly happy when I see my students achieve their goals, whether it’s for work, travel, or personal growth.

Before I became a full-time teacher, I had the privilege of living and working in Japan from 2012 to 2015 as a technical intern under the TITP program. That experience gave me firsthand knowledge of Japanese workplace culture, discipline, and daily life, which I now share with my students. I know that learning Nihongo is not just about memorizing words and grammar but also about understanding how Japanese people think and communicate.

During my free time, I enjoy watching anime, cooking, and traveling to simple yet beautiful places. I always make sure my classes are fun, practical, and easy to understand, so my students won’t feel overwhelmed.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Pangasinan State University under the ETEEAP program. Over the years, I have attended various training programs and seminars on Japanese language education, including those conducted by Japan Foundation Manila. I also passed the JLPT N5, N4, N3, and JFT Basic, which helped me improve my Nihongo and become a better teacher.

I have taught both online and in-person classes, and I always make sure to adjust my teaching style depending on my students’ needs. I understand that each student learns differently, some prefer visuals, while others learn best when things are explained in detail. That’s why I always find ways to make my lessons more relatable and easy to digest.

I believe that learning Nihongo should be an enjoyable experience, not something to be afraid of. Many students feel shy about speaking because they’re afraid of making mistakes, but I always tell them: “Communication is not about using perfect grammar, it’s about speaking with sincerity and confidence.” As long as you have the heart to communicate, you are already on the right track.

It has always been my goal to help students not only learn the language but also develop the confidence to use it in real-life situations. Learning a new language takes time, patience, and effort, but as long as you keep going and believe in yourself, nothing is impossible.

So to all aspiring Nihongo learners out there, I hope to be part of your journey!

私はレーアン パルカシオです。生徒たちは私のことを「レーアン先生」と呼びます。私は10年間、日本語を教えています。日本語を学ぶことで生徒たちが自信を持つようになるのを見ることは、私にとってとても嬉しいことです。日本語を教えることは、ただの仕事ではなく、私の情熱です。生徒たちが仕事や旅行、または自分の成長のために日本語を勉強して、目標を達成することを見て、私はとても幸せに思います。

私は日本語の教師になる前に、2012年から2015年まで、日本で技能実習生として働きました。その経験で、日本の職場の文化や規律、日常生活について学ぶことができました。今、その経験を生徒たちと共有しています。私は、日本語を勉強することは、ただ単語や文法を覚えることではなく、日本人の考え方や話し方を理解することも大切だと思います。

私は、休みの日にアニメを見たり、料理を作ったり、美しくて静かな場所へ旅行することが好きです。私の授業は、楽しくて、実際の生活で使える日本語を学ぶことができて、わかりやすいように工夫しています。

私はPangasinan State UniversityのETEEAPプログラムで、初等教育の学位を取得しました。また、日本語教育のためのいろいろな研修やセミナーに参加しました。例えば、Japan Foundation Manilaの研修も受けました。そして、JLPT N5、N4、N3、JFT Basicに合格しました。この試験の勉強をすることで、日本語教師としてのスキルをもっと上げることができました。

私は、オンライン授業と対面授業の両方の経験があります。そして、生徒の学び方に合わせて、教え方を変えることを大切にしています。ビジュアル（画像や動画）を見ながら学ぶのが好きな人もいれば、詳しく説明されるとわかりやすい人もいます。だから、生徒がもっと日本語を理解できるように、授業をできるだけ簡単にわかりやすくしています。

日本語を勉強することは、楽しい経験であるべきだと思います。多くの生徒は、間違えることが怖くて話せません。でも、私はいつも「大切なのは、完璧な文法ではなく、自信を持って心を込めて話すことです」と言っています。話そうとする気持ちがあれば、それだけで大きな一歩です！

私は、日本語を教えるときに、生徒が日本語を学ぶだけでなく、実際に使う自信を持てるようにしたいと思っています。新しい言語を学ぶことは時間がかかりますが、あきらめずに続ければ、必ずできるようになります！
