About Me

Hello! I’m Teacher Mary! I’m an energetic teacher who wants to give you a fun and meaningful language learning experience. I enjoy playing video games, making figures and plastic model kits. I’m also interested in Japanese language and culture. I graduated from the University of the Philippines, Diliman with a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies: Language, and I’m currently pursuing a Graduate Degree at UP Open University for Language and Literacy Education. I’ve been a Licensed Professional Teacher since 2013. I have over 10 years of experience as a language teacher, albeit for English. Eight of those years, I have taught English Conversation to Japanese nationals aged six to sixteen years old. I teach English to young kids in Japanese. Despite Dialog+ being my first experience as a Japanese Instructor, I have attended teacher training seminars held by Japan Foundation Manila, especially for IRODORI. I have also taken the JLPT N4 and N3. Even now, I continue to study Japanese. I know how it is to be a student. I understand the struggles of learning a language. I believe that is my strength as a teacher. I want to be able to help students help themselves, so that when they are on their own, they can overcome any problems they encounter. Being able to communicate opens so many doors, so let’s open them together!

こんにちは！私はメアリー先生です。私は楽しく重要な言語学習を教えたい元気な先生です。ゲームとフィギュアとガンプラ作りは大好きです。日本の言語と文化も興味があります。University of the Philippines, Diliman から卒業しました。今、UP Open University に大学院の勉強をしています。教員免許状も持っています！10年間英語を教えます。そのうちに8年間に日本人の生徒たち、小学校から高校まで、英会話を教えます。日本語で英会話を教えます。Dialog+は私にとって日本語教師としての初めてですが、Japan Foundation Manila のIRODORIの教師研修セミナーによく参加しました。JLPT N4とN3も受験しました。今まで、日本語勉強を続いています。生徒の経験がよくわかる。学生の気持ちはよくわかります。言語を学ぶの難しさもわかります。それが先生としての私の強みだっと思います。生徒が自分でどうやって手伝うを教えたいです。そうすれば、自分たちだけでどんな問題でも解決できるようになります。コミュニケーションは多くの扉を開くので、一緒に開けましょう！
