About Me
Hi! I’m Lian!
I love learning languages, watching anime, and reading manhwa, especially romance and isekai. As a language learner myself, I understand how exciting, and sometimes intimidating, it can be to learn a new language.
I graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines Baguio with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Studies Education at the University of the Philippines Open University.
I have completed Japanese language teaching courses at UPOU and passed the JLPT N3 in 2026 after nearly three years of self-study. Before focusing on Japanese, I taught general education courses at a state university for three semesters. This experience helped me develop a teaching style that is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students understand concepts clearly.
One challenge I often hear from Japanese learners is the fear of speaking and making mistakes. I believe that mistakes are a natural and necessary part of learning. In my lessons, I create a supportive, learner-centered environment where students have plenty of opportunities to speak, ask questions, and practice Japanese without fear of being judged.
Whether you are just starting Japanese or want to become more confident in speaking, I would be happy to learn with you!
Let’s learn Japanese, one step at a time, without being afraid of mistakes!
こんにちは。リヤンです。
言語を学ぶことや、アニメを見たり、漫画を読んだりすることが大好きです。特に、恋愛や異世界ジャンルが好きです。言語学習者として、新しい言語を学ぶことはワクワクする一方で、少し不安に感じることもあると分かっています。
私はフィリピン大学バギオ校(University of the Philippines Baguio)を卒業し、社会科学を専攻しました。現在は、フィリピン大学オープンユニバーシティ(University of the Philippines Open University)で社会科教育の修士課程に在籍しています。
