Hello! I am Teacher K.
I’m a Japanese language teacher who believes learning Japanese should be practical, enjoyable, and confidence-building.
I graduated with a BS in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines and studied Japanese language and culture in Japan for two years at Shizuoka International Language School (静岡国際言語学院). During this time, I progressed from beginner level to passing JLPT N2, which allows me to deeply understand the learner’s journey.

I have two years of experience teaching Japanese (N5–N3) to learners of different ages and backgrounds. I also worked in Japan as an interpreter and translator, helping me teach Japanese as it’s actually used in real-life situations.

My lessons are learner-centered and conversation-focused, often using familiar topics like anime, manga, and daily life to make learning natural and engaging.

はじめまして。Teacher K（ケイ先生）です。
日本語学習は、「実用的で、楽しく、自信につながるもの」だと考えています。
フィリピンのフィリピン大学（University of the Philippines） で開発コミュニケーション学を専攻し、その後、日本の静岡国際言語学院（静岡県）で2年間、日本語と日本文化を学びました。日本語学習をほぼゼロから始め、日本語能力試験N2に合格した経験があり、学習者の気持ちや学習の難しさをよく理解しています。

これまで2年間、日本語N5〜N3レベルを中心に、年齢や目的の異なるさまざまな学習者に日本語を教えてきました。また、日本では通訳・翻訳の仕事を通して、日本人とフィリピン人をつなぐ役割を担っていました。

レッスンでは、学習者中心・会話重視のスタイルを大切にし、アニメや漫画、日常の話題など、身近で楽しいテーマを使いながら、自然な日本語を身につけていきます。
