Hi there! I am Teacher Cassey! 🌸

Are you ready to learn Japanese without the boring, stiff lectures? I am a high-energy teacher who believes that mastering a new language should feel like an exciting adventure!
My background is uniquely rooted in the performing arts—I hold a degree in dance from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, performed professionally, and taught ballet. Because of my arts background, I love using creative and interactive ways to make basic vocabulary and grammar stick easily!

My own linguistic journey started with foundational training at the Nihongo Center Foundation (NCF) and Japanese Language Research Center (JLRC), and I am a proud passer of both the Japan Foundation Test (JFT) and the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 level. I also bring real-world experience to our lessons, having spent 5 years as a Japanese bilingual with 3.5 years in it mainly handling daily written emails and chats in polite Japanese (Teineigo). In our classes together, we will focus entirely on building solid N5 to N4 basics, learning practical polite written communication patterns, and mastering stress-free grammar hacks at your own pace.

When I’m not teaching, I am a massive fan of East Asian pop culture! I absolutely love watching anime, J-dramas, and Korean dramas, cooking up delicious meals for my family, and traveling. Fun fact: I actually tend to sing whenever I get sleepy!

As your educator, my ultimate goal is your absolute comfort. I create a warm, patient, and lively space designed specifically for beginners who want to learn without the performance anxiety. Let’s shake off the grammar nerves and build a strong, creative, and confident Japanese foundation—one step at a time!
