What Is Season at JPLT?
Season is a learning level inside Studio in the JPLT Learning Gym.
Each Season represents a stage of learning where related topics and real-life situations are grouped together based on the learner’s level.
For example, Season 1 is designed for beginners and includes multiple connected topics that allow learners to practice Japanese at the same difficulty level before moving forward. Learners can also revisit any Season anytime if they want to review or practice a specific topic again.
Season helps learners progress step by step — without rushing and without feeling left behind.

Why Learning Through
Seasons Helps
Learning Japanese becomes easier when practice is organized by level, not scattered randomly.
By staying within the same Season, learners can focus on familiar patterns, strengthen understanding, and feel more comfortable using Japanese before progressing. This reduces confusion and helps learning feel steady instead of overwhelming.
Revisiting topics within a Season — or returning to a past Season — builds familiarity and confidence, making Japanese feel less like a subject to memorize and more like a skill that grows naturally over time.
How Season Fits Into the JPLT Learning Gym
Season exists inside Studio, the heart of the JPLT Learning Gym.
It gives structure to Studio by organizing practice into clear learning levels, while keeping lessons flexible and pressure-free.
By allowing learners to move forward or revisit any Season as needed, Season helps Studio feel connected, purposeful, and easy to follow — so learners can practice Japanese with clarity and confidence at their own pace.
